Scorsese, the film director, and Jagger, the front man of The Rolling Stones, will work together for produce a new TV Series.

In 2016, a new TV series will premiere on HBO. We are talking about “Vinyl”, a Co-produced TV series by Martin Scorsese and Mike Jagger. Set in NY in the 1070, “Vinyl” it’s going to recreate a record label called “American Century Records”, touching themes like drugs, sex and all the things that comes with the Rock and Roll. 
Riche Finestra, the protagonist, is a good producer. He has the ear for listen and buys good products, but one decision put Finestra on a heavy trouble, and will make his life a mess meanwhile the punk and the disco music were emerging.

The idea was origin in 2010 by Jagger. The original idea was two friends living through decades of the music time and music business, from 60’s to contemporary hip-hop.  All the announcements will be show up in December.

Terence Winter, “The sopranos” Writer will be on the “Vinyl” team working on script. Others involved on the TV show will be Juno Temple, PJ Byrne, Joe Caniano, Andrew Dice Clay, JC Mackenzie, and Brigitte Sorensen.


This is not the first time that Martin Scorsese and Mike Jagger work together in a film or in a project. Scorsese, in 2006, direct a documentary about the Rolling Stones called “Shine a Light” filmed on their “A Bigger Bang Tour”.

    A friend recently traveled to London and he bought a t-shirt that says "who's the fuck Mick Jagger". It is so cool.
