There is
one special place in Santiago that always visit when I can. It’s called
Cascanueces and it’s a Coffee shop.
The first
thing that I like of this place is the coffee, the fresh coffee. They have the
best coffee beans from a lot of countries like Guatemala, Peru, Colombia and
Ethiopia. They blend the coffee beans perfectly, and put on the right part of perfectly
hot water. The environment it feels like you are in your home, and the waiters
speaks to you like your friend, meanwhile you taste a really good cup of
Express Coffee.
When I go
to Cascanueces, I like to read a book, smoke a good tobacco or just speak with
the people in there. You can always have an interesting and enjoyable conversation
with everyone in the place. I think that the energy of the Cascanueces makes a
good vibration for the people who visit it.
I try to go
every month if a can, or sometimes, when I have to do a procedure or something
in Providencia, I go to drink a coffee, or just say hi.
The last
time I was there, it was really fun because I went with a French girl that the
only thing she wanted to do, was drink a good coffee. So I took her to
Cascanueces, She drank an Express, and the coffee blew her mind. She sayd “At
least a really good coffee, not like Nescafe”. Later we talked a lot. I introduced
the Cascanueces people and she was fascinated with the amiability of that
place. It was a really good time.
